Emily M. Budd

President

Emily M. Budd is the President of EK Consulting, Inc., where she helps nonprofit organizations maximize their impact without increasing overhead. With a deep-rooted passion for mission-driven work, Emily partners with nonprofits to provide strategic management, fractional leadership, and operational support to empower organizations to focus on what matters most: serving their communities.

A trusted leader in Southwest Florida’s nonprofit sector, Emily brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in advancing collaborative, community-centered solutions. She is known for her ability to effectively and efficiently manage resources, build meaningful partnerships, and create sustainable impact with intention and heart.

Before acquiring EK Consulting in 2024, Emily served as the first full-time Director of Future Ready Collier, guiding a network of over 60 organizations to improve education and workforce outcomes for local youth. Her prior role as Director of Development at a local behavioral health center focused on building philanthropic support and cultivating community relationships.

Emily earned her B.A. in Public Relations and Nonprofit Leadership from Murray State University and was recognized in 2019 by Gulfshore Business as one of Southwest Florida’s 40-Under-40.

A Naples native, Emily is deeply committed to strengthening her hometown and beyond. She and her husband Travis are raising their children, Hazel and Nathaniel, to love and serve the community they call home. You’ll often find them at local favorites like the Children’s Museum of Naples, The Naples Players, the Naples Zoo, or The Conservancy of SWFL.

Brooke Spencer

Vice President

Vice President of Client Services & Operations

Brooke Spencer is the Vice President of Client Services and Operations at EK Consulting, Inc., where she partners with mission-driven organizations to strengthen operations, elevate client experiences, and build sustainable strategies for long-term impact. With a career rooted in nonprofit leadership and organizational development, Brooke is passionate about helping organizations and their leaders thrive through fractional Executive leadership and operational excellence.

Prior to joining EK Consulting, Brooke served as Executive Director of Wellfit Girls, leading and developing leadership, fitness, and empowerment programs for teen girls in Southwest Florida. Under her leadership, participants developed confidence and resilience through transformative experiences that culminated in multi-day backpacking expeditions across the United States and internationally.

Brooke earned her Master of Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2017, becoming the first person in her family to earn a master’s degree. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration, committed to growing her business acumen. Brooke is also a certified Wilderness First Responder, certified personal trainer, certified health and life coach, and has completed more than 450 hours of yoga teacher training. She believes that continuous learning is the foundation for meaningful leadership and lasting impact.

Committed to serving her community, Brooke has volunteered with and held board leadership positions for organizations focused on youth development, women’s empowerment, and outdoor education. She lives in Venice, Florida, with her fiancé, Mark, and their two dogs, Wayne and Walter.
